Befesa closes the sale of Solarca, Befesa Perú and Befesa Chile
Ratungen (Germany), 4 April 2017 – Befesa, a Triton Fund Triton IV company, has closed the sale of Solarca, a company that specializes in industrial maintenance services using chemical cleaning, and Befesa Perú and Befesa Chile, companies that specialize in processing hazardous waste in Latin America to Séché Environnement. The purchase price has not been disclosed.
This sale, together with the divestment of other subsidiaries in Befesa’s Environmental Services (IES) business unit, will enable Befesa to consolidate its leading position in the markets in which it currently operates and grow in new markets.
Befesa’s will focus on its core service activities: recycling steel dust and aluminium salt slags. The demand for both of these services is driven by favourable mega trends such as higher hazardous waste generation as well as stricter environmental regulation.
