Unica acquires Brainpact
Hoevelaken (The Netherlands), 21 May 2019 – Unica, a Triton portfolio company, has signed an agreement to acquire Brainpact, a company specialized in industrial automation software. Founded in 1995, Brainpact aims to enhance productivity through automation, innovation and process optimisation. It translates automation technology control, optimisation, cost reduction and efficiency improvement issues into concrete tailor-made automation solutions.

John Quist, CEO of Unica, calls industrial services one of the pillars of his company's growth strategy. “Especially in the complex industrial world, where systems are business critical for production and competitive positions, we have a lot of knowledge and experience. The acquisition of Brainpact fits in with the increasing importance of automation software in the industrial process. We are pleased that with this acquisition, we further strengthen the core competence of our company.”
Ton Peeters, director/owner of Brainpact, looks forward to continuing the collaboration with Unica as part of the Unica group of companies. “The good cooperation in recent years forms an excellent basis for the acquisition. As part of Unica, we can take the next step.
